The interior work is almost finished — just the bamboo floor in the kitchen and the final plaster in the halls. I’m not sure I have a before picture of the central hall, between the kitchen, living room, and bathroom. It was so dark it was hard to get a picture. Lamar put a little round skylight in it and Frank plastered it white and it is transformed.
They still have to seal the plaster so I have not yet moved in the rug and the great armoire I found at a consignment shop to use as a linen closet.
So now I have started on the yard. Or, I am asking Sirena to do more things. I bought two peach trees and a pear tree which she planted. I have asked her to make a flagstone patio in the circle of pots. And you can see the pad with the grill on it in the back corner.
At some point there will be a roof over the grill and color on the wall where my extra bedroom window got plastered over. You can see Sweetness’s cat door in the green door into the kitchen.
And for the front, I just got three rose bushes and two Russian sage. Sirena couldn’t put them in today because her son had a toothache. My whole aim here is to have a pretty much maintenance free yard. I think I’ll get some bulbs for in front of the bushes.
And here is my beautiful new front door.
Welcome to my house. I love it here.
