My plan was mostly to find a good lunch. I had read about a restaurant near the old agora on a pedestrian restaurant street that sounded good, and a nice scenic walk. But when I turned the corner from my apartment to the street of restaurants across from the Acropolis Museum, what did I find but
Roasting lamb on a spit. The waiter from my morning coffee place said he would save me a table.
So I walked on through the Plaka, which was pretty calm and charming.
Another lamb, but he was just cooking it for the owner and not customers. On around the agora.
But no roasting lamb on the fancy street so I went home and had a lovely meal with walnut cake for dessert.
Now I am planning to spend the afternoon on the couch with the French doors open to the lovely day.
